Product feeds and AI shopping data
Bring in a catalogue per market, check it against Google’s and OpenAI’s rules, improve it with checked AI drafts, and publish the changes as feed files.
Updated
Where the catalogue comes from
One catalogue per market, from any of these, read on a schedule:
- A product feed file: Google Merchant XML or TSV, OpenAI JSON Lines, or CSV, gzipped or not.
- Shopify, with prices per market from Shopify Markets.
- A WooCommerce store, through its REST API with a read-only key.
- A Centra market, through Centra’s Integration API, with the storefront address for the product pages.
Checks
Each product is checked against Google’s and OpenAI’s feed rules for its market: what is missing, what is too long, what the surfaces would refuse. Clothing gets the colour, size, gender and age group Google asks for.
Drafts
AI drafts better titles, descriptions, highlights and attributes from the feed, the product page and your approved facts, in each market’s language. Every draft is checked before anyone sees it: figures no source gives, claims without an approved fact, green and health claims, competitors’ names and text in the wrong language are held or rejected. Nothing changes until it is approved: by a person, or, if the brand turns it on, automatically for short attributes read from the product’s own feed or page that pass every check.
Instructions per category start from your writing rules and can be tried on five products first. Each category has an attribute set: what its products must have, what is tracked and what is left out, starting from Google’s and OpenAI’s rules for its Google category.
Files
Approved changes are published without touching your platform or your feed:
- A supplemental file per market that Google Merchant Center lays over your own feed.
- A full Google-format file per market, for a store without a feed of its own; Microsoft Merchant Center reads it too.
- A ChatGPT file per market in OpenAI’s format, sent by SFTP once OpenAI has accepted you.
Merchant Center
Being switched on account by account: connected read only, Google Merchant Center shows each product’s status and Google’s own issue text per market, and whether it fetched the GEO Style file.
