Checkout readiness in Google’s AI Mode and Gemini
What Google asks for before its checkout (the Universal Commerce Protocol) can sell a product, per market; a report only.

What the report checks
Google’s checkout is in early access for products sold in the United States. The report reads what it needs: a Merchant Center account in good standing, a return policy with its window, cost and link, a customer service contact, and each product approved for free listings and not one of the kinds left out (used, pre-order, age-restricted, subscription, installments, software, gift cards).
Opting in
GEO Style only reports. A product takes part once your own feed sets native_commerce to TRUE, with merchant_item_id when your checkout knows it by another id, and a consumer notice where a warning is required.
